Plastic Abhiyanta was founded in 1977 by the late R.D. Maheshwari as a small trading house in Kolkata. His son, Mr. Raj Mohan Maheshwari, took the reins three decades ago and built it into one of India’s largest engineering plastics houses: four manufacturing plants, two fabrication units, two tool rooms, and the Anulon range of engineering plastics trusted across more than thirty industries. Today the third generation carries the work forward, and in 2027 the company completes fifty years.
The measure of those years is not size but habit: correct polymer, correct process, honest specification. It is why a sheet that must become an artificial limb, a liner that must survive a steel plant, and a bearing plate that must sit under a bridge all carry the same name.
When the pandemic struck in 2020, Plastic Abhiyanta developed India’s first reusable face shield, later adopted by the Indian Armed Forces and the Kolkata Police, and followed it with a range of PPE products. It remains the clearest example of what the company believes: when engineering is sound, plastic can solve almost anything.

Sales and Operation
Quality is not a department here; it is the product. Every Anulon grade must meet its stated specification, because our customers design machines and medical devices around our numbers. This is why we have held ISO certification for over two and a half decades, and why repeat orders form the backbone of our business.
We invest in research and development continuously, from new material grades to new applications. India’s first reusable face shield came from this habit, but so do quieter things: a better wear liner for a cement plant, a new sheet formulation for a prosthetics workshop.
We supply a small lot to a workshop with the same care as a full contract to a steel plant. A young fabricator buying two sheets today builds the plants of tomorrow, and we intend to be there when he does.
Our people know the industries they serve. When a mining engineer describes a problem, they hear the duty behind it: the impact, the abrasion, the temperature, the dust, and can say which polymer will survive it and which will not. That knowledge, gathered over five decades, is what a customer actually buys with an Anulon component.
Transparency governs every transaction: what we quote is what we deliver, and if a material is wrong for a duty, we say so before the order, not after the failure.
To be the first name any engineer thinks of when a component must be made in plastic, and to earn that position honestly: reliable material, durable performance, fair price, every time.
Plastic carries an environmental responsibility, and we accept our share of it. We adopt manufacturing technology that raises output per unit of resource, help customers recycle the products we supply, and guide responsible disposal at end of life. Growth that damages the ground it stands on is not growth we want.

Plastic Abhiyanta has held ISO certification for over two and a half decades, currently ISO 9001:2015, and is regularly assessed by the governing authorities. The certificate is available for inspection on request.
